I’m looking for something that will let plenty of light in my room, allow me to see out, prevent people from seeing in, and block drafts from the window. Is there something available that can do all that?

I know a lot of people do not like blinds but they are really the only things that can do all that. These days, you can get blinds made out of a lot of different materials, including wood etc. There are stores that sell only blinds for the best selection. Check the web. Here is one link below. Hi, The only thing that lets you look out and prevents people from seeing in is window film which can be applied to the window. There is mirrored type that does not allow people to see in but you can see out. http://www.windowshadesblind.com/window-film-stop-excessive-heating.html Solar shades allow you to see out and would block drafts but not totally block people seeing in but they would only see silhouettes. http://www.windowshadesblind.com/phifer-sheerweave-solar-shades.html You could also look at shades either cellular or roman that have the topup/bottom down feature which allows you to let natural light in but allows you to maintain your privacy. You can open these shade from the top or bottom blocking peoples view in. Hope this helps.
