Question by working for the weekend!: What kind of design like wall color and window treatments can I use with my new sofas? Pic of sofa!?
My sofa is the top right..the greenish Loden. I call it the big comfy couch. The piping is a beige cream color and the posts are a deep dark mahagoney. http://www.furniturefair.net/products.cfm?categoryID=9

Id paint the walls in a color similar,but slightly darker, than the piping. Dark bamboo slat roman blinds on the windows. A dark brown leather arm chair and ottoman. Deep russet red and espresso brown accent cushions on the sofa.

Your couch is a cool color, so you need to warm up the rest of the room. Giving the walls a warm rich color like warm taupe or a deep rich tan with white trim would be beautiful. Add floral accents in reds or maroon. Off white trim on baseboards and off white tab curtains would be great. Black accent for curtain rods would be striking.

Here is a great link that will help you to visualize the colors of the room you are working on. Just point and click your way to living rooms and it will give you several styles of house, furniture and decorative items that you can choose the color for. I was playing around on it today and had a blast coming up with some of the most outrageous color combos. The color palette they have is almost infinite.

I agree with the first guy only I wouldnt be afraid to go darker.that way the room color would enhance the piping yet it wouldnt look as if the piping is coming out of the wall.
