1. Bedroom
Opaque blind is a perfect choose for bedroom window cover. For better opacity, you can choose fabric blinds or rigid horizontal blind.

The trend of window covering today is the minimalist model of covering.

Draperies are loaded with tassels and fringe to make the window looks good. If you are into minimalist decoration, you can choose bamboo blinds, Roman blinds, and other short of things.

One of the most popular cover is the exquisite gossamer sheers. It is a nice model with printed or embossed patterns. Velvet is another popular model for drapery. Sheers is very nice especially in brown color. You can also have long pleats for great decoration. Another fashionable decoration is draperies with grommets. Floor-length draperies are great to make the window looks amazing.

For children room, you can choose fun patterns to make the room livelier. Animal spots are great to make the room looks fun and comfortable. Your children will be happy to have such decoration.

Ceramic, metal, glass, and wood are popular for tie-backs, rods, and finials. They are like the jewelry of window curtain. You can use those materials as the accessories of window cover.

From all of the ideas above, I hope that you can make some changes for your windows. Having good-looking windows are very helpful to release stress and make the rooms feel comfortable.

You can use exterior window shades to make the windows look nice. They are also good in preventing direct UV radiation. I recommend you to have electric window shades for easier operation.

Ideas for bay window window treatments?

Question by Jacki Austerman: Ideas for bay window window treatments?
I have a bay window that has very uncommon dimensions. It’s impossible to find a rod that will fit to go all the way across so I have been trying to find window treatments that will fit in each window that look nice. I have no idea what to put in them. They are very tall, narrow windows. I have to buy special sizes no matter where I look. What kind of window treatment would look nice in a bay window?

You can use any style you like. The arched part isn’t covered, so any type will work.

Making window treatments for the first time. Need help, guidance, ideas, tips or useful links please!?

Question by Kristie: Making window treatments for the first time. Need help, guidance, ideas, tips or useful links please!?
Hi we just got a new house and I’d like to make my own window treatments. I would be sewing by hand but also have a hot glue gun :). I’ve never made window treatments and could use some simple suggestions, or useful links.

It would depend on what type of window treatments you are making–valances, curtains, shades. If you go to a fabric store for fabric then you may be able to get either a pamphlet or a book with instructions for whatever you want to make.

What are ideas for window treatments for slider windows?

Question by remodeler: What are ideas for window treatments for slider windows?
I had 3 double-hungs replaced with a 3-lite slider (stationery middle lite); 111 inches wide from trim to trim edge. Installation included putting molding on the inside edge that prevents inside mount of any window treatment. I want privacy at night, but everything as open as possible during the day. If I had drapes, there’s very little room at outer edges for them to hang when open (because of sconce lights right next to window woodwork) — and they would block the side of the window that opens. Suggestions?

There are not many options if I read your question correctly.

a) My favorite and what I have always had are plantation shutters.. a bit pricey but beautiful.

b) the roll up/down blinds that they have now at various places to includes Lowe’s and Home Depot are made of a beautiful bamboo, or other like materials and in various shades of color mostly in the beige… These fit INSIDE the window well and not the outside which might work for you.. when you want to raise the window treatment(shade I think is the name), you pull the cord until it rolls itself up and catches.. then to lower, pull to one side(the cord) and lower the treatment to whatever level you want

Any ideas on how to come up with window treatments fast and cheap for my new house that has tons of windows?

Question by *me*: Any ideas on how to come up with window treatments fast and cheap for my new house that has tons of windows?
It is an old cottage with lots of charm. I plan on painting it all light, and sanding the wood floors light, so I want the curtains to be light too.

I need ideas for window treatments that are affordable, but creative. This house is covered with lots of windows, and I don’t know what I’m gonna do.

you go to your local fabric store. buy inexpensive yards of fabric. Then you go to walmart and buy a curtain rod with metal clips fasteners (like clothesline clips but metal). if you want a finished look, hem the edges after you cut to size. Make slightly wider to accommodate the “pleats.”
